As you know, San Antonio has a 124,5 Km² territorial extension to the west of Ibiza island. Santa Inés and San Mateo are also in its municipality, although these are perhaps less known because of their interior situation, San Rafael is on the route to Ibiza.
Its population is about 16.000 living souls, and almost half of them live on rural media working for tourism and services or they are farmers.
Very, very soft mediterranean weather is found here. During daytime, maybe you'd like walk to some beach:
- S'Arenal
- This one is 500 meters away from Horizonte Hostel, and it is an ideal place to have your sun bath, make windsurf or any other aquatic sport you like. It is all San Antonio's bay long, so you can see the whole of town. There is an amazing number of little bars and funny places.
- Caló d'es Moro
- Very little sand beach, plenty of musical bars for the people who like seeing the slowly sunset having a cup.
- Cala Gració
- This one is ten minutes walk away from the hostel, and it is a natural prodigy made of crystal waters, with no waves, neither indiscreet saws —not seen from San Antonio— where a little bar rents lounge chairs and parasols during summertime.
- Cala Gracioneta
- If you keep walking to the north by the little path on Cala Gració, you will find this hidden and lonely beauty, where water temperature may be as high as 24°C on summer.
- Cala Salada
- You will find this lonely beach four kilometers away to the north of Cala Gracioneta (maybe you need to drive). The sun goes to sleep between Sa Conillera and S'Illa des Bosc, painting in deep purple the Red House near the beach in the meaning while.
- Cala Saladeta
- You have to take the tower's path to arrive here; if you leave the path and turn to the right before the beach, you will find Ses Fontanelles cave with its famous prehistorical paints.
- Punta Galera
- Same road to Cala Salada takes to Punta Galera aka the mystical; it is made of rocks but you still can swim there, it is also known by its slime baths.
Some discos on San Antonio road are internationally known: Privilege —Ku in the past— and Amnesia. Es Paradís and Edén are in San Antonio bay, making the night taste.
Other kinds of fun are also available in San Antonio bay: it is plenty of little shops opened until late night.
Horizonte Hostel is in a quiet point, but all these fun places are not so far to need drive, so you can walk by.
